Sagovsky is an experienced teacher & workshop facilitator, who has worked with young people all the way from primary school age up to post-graduate students. She has taught both within established institutions such as schools, universities, & conservatoires, as well as in a wide range of community settings. She is not only experienced in developing & leading practical sessions, but in structuring educational courses, curricula, & teaching resources.

Sagovsky has worked as a guest lecturer/workshop leader at many further education institutions both in the UK & internationally. These include: Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, LAMDA, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Rose Bruford, AFDA Film School (South Africa), & UniArts (Finland). For three years she was Movement Lecturer on the Rutgers Conservatory Programme at Shakespeare’s Globe (BFA & MFA students), for which she developed a two-semester curriculum covering actor movement in relation to classical text & the Globe stage. She has worked with visiting students from drama schools  & universities across the world both as a Movement Lecturer at Shakespeare’s Globe & whilst working for the Royal Shakespeare Company, for whom she delivered specialist actor movement teaching in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre & at the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.

As an Education Associate Practitioner at the Royal Shakespeare Company, Kate worked with students in primary & secondary schools across the UK, as well as delivering specialist teacher-training seminars. In 2012 she worked as a Director mentoring a network of 92 students & their teacher-directors who ultimately came together to perform Othello in the main House at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford-Upon-Avon.

Other work with Young People includes working as Director/Choreographer on productions such as Macbeth & Song for Eurydice (Youth Music Theatre UK); Flesh (Urban Exchange at Westminster Abbey & Edinburgh Fringe Festival); Mugged (National Connections at Oxford Playhouse). As an Education Associate Practitioner working on the Royal Shakespeare Company’s nationwide Open Stages project, Kate delivered training sessions to amateur companies of all ages & backgrounds in regional venues across the UK. She has worked with diverse community groups, & has training & experience in working with SEN groups & those at risk.
